槟城美食之旅 Penang Cuisine (2)

来槟城当然不能错过吃炒粿条(Char Koay Teow ). 位于Lorong Selamat 兴发茶餐室(Kafe Heng Huat)的炒粿条最为出名. 由大火炒出来的粿条不会过焦. 每盘都有2-3只大吓和鲜蛤. 价格有rm6.50, rm7, rm8, 虽贵但值得!

Penang Char Koay Teow, This flat fired white noodle dish has been described as a taste of heaven and it is certainly no exafferation! The most famous Char Koay Teow is in Heng Huat Cafe, at Selamat Road, George Town area. Each Char Koay Teow has 2-3 big prawn, rm6.50, rm7, rm8 per served. Although expensive, but worth it!


在Komtar前面的店屋, 有间名新生活的茶餐室,卖的金旦面(instant Noodle). 其特色是用上汤烹煮的金旦面, 加了鸡蛋 菜 猪肉碎 肉丸等来调味, 味道更是香浓, 吃了让人回味无穷.



In front of the Komtor, a coffee shop name Xin Sheng Huo, their instant noodle is delicious. Everybody eat instant noodle before, why this stall so special? Anuty used pork, egg etc to cook. You will miss it and wanna to try again when you try this special instant noodle.



辣沙(Laksa), 也是不可不吃的槟城美食之一. 辣沙的烹煮过程挺复杂的, 需要准备很多配料, 如有亚三汤, 香茅, Kampong鱼等, 尤其鱼越多越好, 才能带出其辣沙独特的味道.

位于Air Hitam极乐寺下的辣沙最为出名, 许多人都慕名而来. 吃了辣沙之后, 可顺道参观极乐寺. 在Komtar Bus Station搭Bus No.101, 104, 103都能到.

There are two variations of the Laksa- one is sour and tangy ( asam laksa) while the other is cooked with rich coconut milk (nyonya laksa). The most famous laksa in Penang at Air Hitam, around Ke Lok Si Temple. Take the bus no. 101, 103, 104 from Komtar bus station.



槟城虾面, 顾名思义, 其汤头是用鲜虾去熬的, 再加上鲜虾 瘦肉 蕹菜, 就成为一道美味的汤面了. Lorang Selamat兴发茶餐室对面, 有间虾面之家, 味道很够, 可以去试试.

Hokkien Mee, the Penang version of this dish is craved by many including those who do not hail from the state. The yellow noodle cooked in tasty prawn soup is definitely a local favourite!
